Hi there!

Meet Mallorie

Mallorie (she/her) is an Equity actor with her BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University. She hails from the global mecca of Jacksonville, Florida, and she identifies as "Latinasian" (Cuban, Chinese, and Filipino!). When not on the stage, she can be found rewatching Star Wars, taking pictures of her dog, or basking in the sun while reading a good book. She is based in New York City, and is represented by DGRW Inc. Mallorie is a passionate, versatile, and vibrant artist who approaches everything she does with a strong sense of play, wit and intelligence, and a fierce commitment to honest storytelling. She was most recenlty seen on the First National Tour of the Tony Award Winning Musical Shucked.

As a writer, Mallorie likes to create work that is witty, thought provoking, and deeply human. She is intrigued by the inherent messiness of humanity, and what happens when you put that at odds with the indomitable human spirit, writing pieces about flawed, utterly real humans trying to find meaning in a fucked up world. Her debut play, The City-Women, winner of the inaugural CMU Press New Play Contest in 2025 and named "Research Project of the Year" in 2024 by Elon University's Gender and LGBTQIA Center, is being published on October 6th through CMU Press. A passionate academic, she was also named "Scholar of the Year" in 2024 by Elon University's Gender and LGBTQIA Center for her research into feminist and Queer themes in early uncanonized Christian texts, which she developed into the play that became The City-Women, her undergraduate thesis. She was a 2020 National YoungArts Finalist and US Presidential Scholar in the Arts, and can be won over with a really good cup of matcha.
